Privacy & Data Protection
We align with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Personal Data Protection Act No. 9 of 2022 (Sri Lanka).
Protecting our partners' and guests' data is fundamental to how we operate. All personal and business information is treated with strict confidentiality and is never shared publicly or used beyond its intended purpose without prior consent.
As a Destination Management Company, we share only essential and relevant information with carefully selected suppliers — hotels, transport providers, experience partners, and relevant service providers — strictly for the purpose of delivering travel services.
Crisis Management & Emergency Response
Preparedness, clarity, and speed define our approach to crisis management.
Our operational structure enables us to respond immediately to any incident or disruption, coordinate directly with guides, hotels, and suppliers on the ground, ensure guest safety through rapid relocation or medical assistance, liaise with emergency services, authorities, and insurance providers, and maintain clear communication with partners and families.
A dedicated internal response network ensures coordinated action, with structured updates provided to partners throughout any incident. We shall provide our partners with regular updates with a maximum of 3-hour intervals between updates in the event of an ongoing crisis, and an interim report within 06 hours of the incident followed by a final report subsequently.

Health & Safety
We operate in alignment with UK and EU health and safety standards across all ground operations.
Our approach includes careful selection and regular review of all suppliers, inspection and quality control of vehicles, accommodation, and services, evaluation of safety standards, licensing, and operational procedures, and continuous monitoring, reporting, and improvement of incidents and near-misses.
We maintain clear emergency protocols and ensure all teams are prepared to respond efficiently and responsibly.
Diversity & Inclusion
Diversity and inclusion are integral to our culture.
We are committed to fostering an environment that respects and values all individuals — across backgrounds, perspectives, and identities — enabling a workplace defined by professionalism, respect, and openness.
Responsible & Ethical Travel
We are committed to designing journeys that respect nature, culture, and communities.
Our principles include supporting local communities and responsible suppliers, protecting cultural heritage and traditions, and ensuring ethical business practices across our network.
We actively engage with partners to uphold these standards and promote responsible travel behaviour.
Regenerative & Sustainable Travel
Our approach goes beyond sustainability — we aim to contribute positively to the destinations we operate in.
We encourage low-impact travel and reduced use of plastics, promote wildlife-friendly and conservation-based experiences, avoid suppliers that exploit animals or damage ecosystems, support biodiversity protection and habitat conservation, work with local communities and artisans to sustain livelihoods, and integrate low-carbon and responsible operational practices.
We guide our guests and partners to travel consciously and respectfully, ensuring long-term value for destinations.
Workplace Conduct – Drug & Alcohol Policy
We maintain a professional, safe, and disciplined working environment.
The use, possession, or influence of drugs or alcohol during working hours, on duty, or while representing Rediscover Journeys is strictly prohibited.
Limited and responsible consumption may be permitted at approved client or company events, subject to professional conduct at all times.
Responsibilities
All team members are expected to uphold company policies and standards, maintain professionalism in all interactions, and report any concerns or violations confidentially.
Management is responsible for enforcing policies fairly and consistently.
Support & Wellbeing
We encourage a supportive workplace culture.
Team members facing personal challenges are encouraged to seek confidential assistance, and reasonable support will be provided where possible.
Disciplinary Action
Any breach of company policies will result in appropriate disciplinary action.
Depending on the severity of the breach, this may include suspension or termination of employment or engagement.
